Rob joined Hanson Wade in 2024 to lead Hanson Wade’s Beacon and Intelligence business. Rob graduated as a pharmacist and went on to complete his PhD in biochemistry. Having published several scientific papers, Rob moved into the pharmaceutical industry and spent the next 15 years at Pfizer and Novartis supporting research scientists with competitor, business and patent information to help guide their commercial and R&D strategy. After completing his MBA, Rob moved into Product Management, leading product teams at Minesoft and Clarivate. During his time at Clarivate, Rob was responsible for the Web of Science platform and most recently, the Cortellis portfolio.

Andy joined Hanson Wade in 2016 to lead Hanson Wade’s development of business intelligence and data products. He brings a wealth of experience having created and developed business intelligence services with Thomson Reuters in life sciences, GlobalData plc in risk management and Euromoney plc in asset management. After gaining an undergraduate degree in Physics and Chemistry, Andy switched to cancer research for his post-graduate studies.

Andy has worked in the pharmaceutical and information industries since 1999 in both large scale corporations and smaller PE-backed organizations. He has extensive global experience for business and offering strategy including product and service propositions, delivery mechanisms offered, prioritization, approval and governance of new and existing investments. He has been successful in developing and launching several scientific and commercial intelligence platforms helping to support critical BioPharma strategic investment decisions. Andy joined Hanson Wade in 2023 to lead the development of business intelligence and data product offerings.

Divisional Head of Beacon Sales

Bertie MacArthur joined Hanson Wade in November 2019, starting his career as a Delegate Acquisition Executive. Since then, he has progressed through multiple commercial roles within the Beacon business, moving up from Account Executive and Account Manager to Sales Manager, and now holds the position of Divisional Head of Beacon Sales. In his current role, Bertie is responsible for driving commercial strategy, and supporting growth across Beacon’s intelligence products focussing on retention and expansion of our existing accounts. Bertie holds a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Leeds.

Christophe joined Hanson Wade in 2024 and leads the Intelligence Business Unit, having previously led teams in the pharmaceutical, medical device and life science spaces. His Intelligence team helps Hanson Wade’s life science and pharmaceutical clients answer key business questions through bespoke market research and consulting, allowing them to make more informed and hence better commercial decisions.

Christophe excels in strategic thinking, having 15+ years of market research and consulting experience across the entire product life cycle, from product development through to post-launch. He has a passion for partnering with clients to add value by turning data into insights, insights into strategy, and strategy into tactics that drive business growth.

Christophe has a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge, UK, focussed on drug discovery, including time spent in industry. The fusion of Christophe’s high level scientific knowledge and commercial expertise allows him to understand complex scientific information and apply a strategic commercial lens, to make a tangible difference to his clients’ products, brands and organisations.

Curtis joined Hanson Wade in 2012 as part of the company’s first graduate intake program. For the early part of his career, he worked in the sponsorship team and helped to implement and train a consistent sales methodology and process across the business. Since 2017, he has been a part of the leadership team for Beacon, our business intelligence and subscriptions business unit, and is responsible for the growth of the sales function.

James has a Master’s in Biochemistry from the University of Sheffield, UK and joined Hanson Wade in 2009 soon after graduating. He’s worked at all levels of the conference business conducting scientific research and understanding oncology market dynamics; but has an especial interest in antibody-drug conjugates. As the original architect of Beacon 1.0, he launched the first modules (ADC and Checkpoint Monotherapies) and developed the product and team through its start-up years (2015-2017). Since 2021, he’s been focused on building Hanson Wade Intelligence, the market research and consulting division of the business.

Jessica joined Hanson Wade in 2023 to lead the Beacon Research Operations team. She brings many years of experience having headed up the Content Operations team at Clarivate involved in the collation and curation of academic literature for products such as the Web of Science, and before that various management roles within Thomson Reuters/Clarivate’s Life Sciences content team. Jessica has a MChem degree in Medicinal Chemistry and a PhD in Bioorganic Chemistry, both from the University of Leeds.

Letrishka joined Hanson Wade in 2017 after completing a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry and MSc in Drug Discovery and Development.

Letrishka’s Beacon journey started in research, where she rapidly gained subject knowledge expertise within the targeted oncology therapy space, traveling and presenting at international conferences and training and managing a fast-growing off-shore research team, before spending three years building the product function, where she created processes which influenced the strategy for new Beacon module launches and customer joy product development.

In her current role, Letrishka Anthony is head of Beacon’s customer success team, working closely with customers to ensure they derive sustained value from the platform by aligning Beacon insights to their strategic, clinical, and commercial decision‑making.

Peter joined Hanson Wade in 2020 to develop content for Beacon portfolio and guide its expansion from five modules to the current seventeen. He brings many years of experience of pharmaceutical and biomedical content management, including at Thomson Reuters/Clarivate.

Richard joined Hanson Wade in 2021 to set-up and develop the marketing function at Beacon. With over 15 years of B2B marketing experience, leading projects at high-growth tech start-ups, FTSE100 brands, and professional service firms, he specialises in creating high-performing, insight-led, customer-focused, and commercially driven teams. Richard holds a master’s degree in Marketing and Advertising from Leeds University Business School.
